When Kristine Depies launched KAYDEE Management Solutions, it wasn’t just to build a business – it was to help others rediscover why they started theirs. Her inspiration struck when a close friend, a gifted florist, spent an entire dinner venting about systems, staffing, and social media – never once mentioning flowers.

“For me, that was the AHA moment,” Kristine recalls. “Not a single word about the art that she so loves to create.”

KAYDEE Management Solutions was born from that clarity. Kristine and her team serve solopreneurs and small business owners by handling the tasks they dread most: admin work, email marketing, automations, blog posts, and more. But as she explains, “Most of our clients don’t just need things done – they need a partner who helps them stay focused, make decisions, and keep momentum. We bring accountability that’s supportive, not stressful!”

What sets her team apart is how deeply they care. “How much we believe in YOU,” Kristine emphasizes. “How OBSESSED we are with your business. How many hours we spend dreaming of what your business will be in the future.”

While Kristine excels at creating structure for others, her own journey as a business owner required carving a new path – especially as a highly sensitive introvert.

“The biggest challenge I’ve faced as a business owner – and honestly, just as a person – is being a highly sensitive person and an introvert,” she says. “I’m someone whose brain starts to shut down in groups of more than six people, and I’ve always loathed small talk and surface-level conversations.”

Instead of forcing herself to adapt to traditional networking, she made something better. In 2024, she launched a virtual networking group tailored specifically for introverted women business owners. It was a game changer. “I realized I didn’t hate networking; I just hated the version of it that wasn’t built for people like me!”

As a woman, Kristine has never shied away from challenging expectations. “From an early age I became aware of the idea that you could choose to be a mom OR choose to have a career. You could support your partner’s career OR have your own… That didn’t sound right,” she reflects. “When I hear something that seems limiting, my first instinct is to ask, Why? Who decided it has to be that way?

That questioning mindset shows up in her business systems, too – which are built to “hold space for nuance, honor real life over ‘tradition,’ and expect growth/evolution.”

Outside of work, Kristine is an active supporter of the Watertown Humane Society. “All summer long, their foster kittens can be seen climbing my office shelves during Zoom calls,” she laughs. She also organizes a fundraiser every December to raise funds for the shelter with a group of friends who do singing Christmas telegrams around town for donations.

When asked what advice she’d give to other women looking to start a business, Kristine puts it plainly: “Start. So many people think they have to wait until everything is ‘ready’… But ‘ready’ is a moving target, and waiting for it will keep you stuck.”

She adds: “Find your people. Whether it’s in-person or online, community is not optional… You don’t have to do it alone – because you shouldn’t.”
